Women & Girls in Science: Celebrating the Future of Discovery

On February 11th, we joined the global community in celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science. It’s a day to honor the brilliance, curiosity, and persistence of the women who are changing the world through discovery.

At our company, we believe that the future of innovation is bright—and that brightness comes from the diverse minds of the next generation.

Inspiration Through Education

As creators of STEM curriculum, we see firsthand the incredible potential of young girls when they are given the tools to explore. Our goal is to make science, tech, and math feel like a natural home for every student. By highlighting female role models and creating hands-on, engaging lessons, we’re helping girls turn their "what ifs" into "I cans."

Leading the Way

We’re also proud to walk the talk. From our talented female IT professionals to our curriculum designers, women are at the heart of everything we build. They aren't just part of our team; they are the experts shaping how the next generation learns to code, experiment, and innovate.

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! Let's keep inspiring the thinkers of tomorrow.

Honoring Black History Month Through STEM

Black History Month is a time to celebrate the groundbreaking contributions Black Americans have made to STEM. Leaders like Katherine Johnson, whose calculations were critical to early space missions, George Washington Carver, who transformed agricultural science, Mae Jemison, the first Black woman in space, and Lonnie Johnson, an engineer and inventor, have shaped innovation and expanded opportunity for future generations.

At Education Technology Professionals (ETP), we honor this legacy by helping schools highlight diverse STEM pioneers, expand equitable access to technology, and create inclusive, hands-on learning experiences in coding, engineering, and digital literacy. By connecting history to real-world innovation, ETP empowers students to see themselves as the next generation of problem-solvers and leaders.

Choosing the Right Student Information System (SIS): What Schools Need to Know

Your SIS is more than a gradebook — it’s the operational backbone of your school. It manages enrollment, attendance, reporting, billing, and family communication. Choosing the right system is a strategic leadership decision, not just a tech purchase.

Why It Matters

A strong SIS can:

  • Centralize student data

  • Improve parent communication

  • Simplify reporting and compliance

  • Integrate with other platforms

  • Provide real-time insights

However, implementation is complex, ongoing management takes time, and many schools underuse the features they’re paying for.

What We’re Seeing

This month especially, we’ve noticed many of the schools we serve are experiencing challenges with their SIS — from reporting issues to configuration confusion and integration breakdowns. Because ETP works inside many schools, we see firsthand how common these struggles are.

You’re not alone — and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

How ETP Helps

Education Technology Professionals (ETP) supports schools through:

  • Strategic vendor evaluation

  • Data cleanup and migration

  • Integration management

  • Staff training and system optimization

The right SIS should reduce stress — not create it. With the right strategy and support, your system can truly strengthen your school — and we’re here to help when you need it.

ETP is here to help.

Because technology should support your mission — not distract from it.
